Road Rangers

MDX is committed to moving Miami-Dade and improving your commute as you drive our five expressways. That's why we offer the roving Road Rangers as a free service, operating 24-hous a day/seven days a week to assist stranded motorists.

They circulate throughout all MDX roadways (State Roads 836, 924, 112, 874 and 878). While riding along these roads, Road Rangers will search for broken down vehicles, and usually appear within 15-30 minutes. They carry the following tools to help you get back on the road as quickly as possible:

  • Cell phones
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Air compressor
  • Auto fluids
  • Flashlight
  • Booster cables
  • First aid kits
  • Flashing arrow board
  • Reflective cones
  • Flares
  • Broom and shovel
  • Tire repair kit
  • 2-ton jack
  • Five gallon sand
  • Wood blocks
  • Public address system

In addition to assisting motorists, the MDX Road Rangers also help maintain mobility on expressways. The longer a motorist remains stranded, the more congestion builds up on roadways. If the MDX Road Ranger can save five minutes by assisting a motorist, we are eliminating at least a half-hour of traffic congestion for you.
